The Grand Golf Club in San Diego

The Grand Golf Club is a newly renovated Tom Fazio design in greater San Diego. It's at the new Grand Del Mar resort, an ultra luxury resort not far from La Jolla.

The golf course weaves through the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, giving golfers plenty of up-and-down shots and dramatic looks. The closing stretch is particularly impressive, including an 18th hole that ends with a new $1 million waterfall flowing off the green.

You have to stay at the Grand Del Mar resort to play The Grand, which makes it one of the least crowded courses in a San Diego area where tee sheets can become packed. Forecaddies are also included with your greens fee, further adding to the luxury vibe of the course. It's status as the only Tom Fazio course in San Diego doesn't hurt, either.
