Northwood Golf Club in Sonoma County, California
Northwood Golf Club is an Alister MacKenzie course deep in the redwoods of Northern California.
It's not so easy to find this golf course in Sonoma County that's across from the Russian River, but the man who designed Augusta National and Cypress Point made his way here back in the 1920s. MacKenzie might not even be the star at Northwood though. Instead it's the redwood trees that stretch 110 to 115 feet high in the air that most golfers leave talking about.
