LAS VEGAS -- Although it is only a short drive from the Las Vegas Strip, playing at Royal Links Golf Club is much like being transported to the British Isles.
This classic links layout evokes the feeling of traditional Scottish golf courses such as Royal Troon, Turnberry and the Old Course at St. Andrews with more than 100 pot bunkers and very few trees or water hazards.
Although there are many challenging holes at Royal Links, one of the most memorably difficult is the par-4 eighth, which features a postage-stamp green ala Royal Troon. The small, elevated green spans only 16 yards with one bunker in the front and another two each on the left and right.
