Siena Golf Club is a safe and enjoyable bet in Las Vegas
HENDERSON, Nev. -- Among the sure bets in Las Vegas is a round of golf at Siena Golf Club in the Summerlin area. It's about 20 minutes from the Strip in Red Rock Canyon, where architects Lee Schmidt and Brian Curly created a memorable and scenic golf experience.
There are five sets of tees, so this 6,834-yard par 72 is playable by nearly every level of golfer. The greens are also larger and there are plenty of bunkers, many of them designed to help define the golf course, but difficult to avoid. In all, there are 97 of these sand hazards.
The large bentgrass greens also have plenty of undulations, so golfers must stay below the hole in most cases. There are a great variety of holes, including the drivable par-4 11th.
There are also some pretty water features, that includes small waterfalls. The signature hole is the par-3 fifth, which stretches to just 159 yards with a semi-island green.
