Golf at The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, New York
BOLTON LANDING, N.Y. -- A historic Donald Ross masterpiece dating back to 1928, The Sagamore Golf Course has a new lease on life after extensive renovations brought this scenic play back to life.
The golf course is part of The Sagamore Resort in Bolton Landing, about a 45-minute drive north of Saratoga Springs and sits in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. The course begins with it's signature hole, the par-4 first that plays straight towards Lake George in the distance.
The remaining 17 holes are no pushovers, either. Most are tightly lined with tall trees and feature gently rolling fairways and plenty of elevated greens. The golf course is a par 70 and plays over 6,800 yards from the championship tees.
The Sagamore Golf Course's clubhouse sits on high ground overlooking the lake, about two miles from the resort itself.
