TRAVELGOLF.COM NEWS

Forbes Magazine
Honors TravelGolf.com
as "Best of the Web"

TravelGolf.com Staff Report

TUCSON, AZ (Nov. 19, 2001) - TravelGolf.com, the world's highest read chain of online travel and golf publications, was named "Best of the Web" in Forbes Magazine's Winter 2001 ratings. The daily updated TravelGolf.com was selected from among hundreds of sports and travel based web sites by the highly respected financial publication as the best online source of travel and golf news, features, and the most efficient, competitively priced source for booking golf vacation packages.

"It is always an honor to be recognized on a national and international level as being the best at what you do," said TravelGolf.com Publisher Robert Lewis. "But to be recognized by a publication with the reputation, tradition, and readership of Forbes is one of the single greatest achievements of this publication. Forbes has recognized that TravelGolf.com has combined great journalism and advertising to be successful in business."

Past TravelGolf.com Press Releases
With many dot coms and publications experiencing advertising woes, TravelGolf.com has enjoyed a record fourth quarter increase in advertising sales over the previous year. The selection was based on content, functionality, readership, longevity, and innovation of the website. Forbes pointed to TravelGolf.com's "Rave of the Day" feature and its robust and affordable golf packages to destinations like Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Palm Springs as the major strengths of the publication.

Also singled out were TravelGolf.com's new currency converter, golf message boards where players can discuss an endless array of golf topics, the golf travel tips section, and the comprehensive weather desk.

"Not once have we rested on our laurels here, and I think the Forbes editors recognized that by tracking our publications over the years," Lewis said. "Even when things are going great, we are constantly researching new technologies and adding new features and publications to improve the overall experience of our readers. We believe that our attention to the reader has been the biggest reason our profitability and readership has surged."

The Forbes special issue of Forbes ASAP featuring Best of The Web will be on newsstands beginning Tuesday, November 20 and is currently available on the Forbes.com Web site (www.forbes.com/bow).

TravelGolf.com publishes to over one million golfers each month through 24 online travel and golf publications including MichiganGolf.com, ScotlandGolf.com, OntarioGolf.com, MyrtlebeachGolf.com, LasVegasGolf.com, AustraliaGolf.com, GolfCalifornia.com, GolfOhio.com, GolfCarolina.com, GolfFlorida.com and GolfArizona.com.
