Eating on golf vacation(July 17, 2006) - Boy, did Chris Baldwin hit it on the head with this column!!!

My wife and I are avid golf travelers....one of our fondest memories is playing on the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Alabama. We asked at the hotel for local eating suggestions and after convincing them we meant local, we were directed to a small, hole-in-the-wall BBQ place.

The waitress came to our table, we told her we were from New Hampshire and she took the menus back, winked at us, and said, "I'll take care of you...."

I don't really know what I was eating...but we talk about it often.

Cheers,

Tom Hoyt
