Great course. Good layout.
Enjoyable course. Not very difficult. Some forced carries. Greens were slow but very receptive.
Course in fantastic shape not a grass out of place
a gem
The course is a 2 hour drive from my home. I try to play it several times a year; it is well worth the drive. There is nothing not to like about Brasstown Valley Resort and Golf. The golf course, the staff, the accommodations, the amenities are all first rate. If you must find anything negative, there may be a little too much fine sand in the bunkers. I love the place!
Great course
Course is very well maintained..... After playing the first hole you think you are going to play a very hilly course. It is for the most part a flat course. Only negative thing is to take some drinks and food with you . There is some water coolers on the course but when you make the turn to 10 you are nowhere near the clubhouse so don't think you will be able to get food and drinks at the turn. Not sure about the weekend but I played on a Wednesday and Thursday and there was not a beverage and food cart on the course either. Overall was a great two days of golf on a nice well maintained course.
Great fun.
Lots of tee boxes for every age/gender. Beautiful course lay out with bunkers and water hazards.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Fun in the sand
This is a links-style course with heavy rough and lots of sand bunkers. The fairways are wide but accuracy here is needed. The course is in great condition and the surrounding mountains make a spectacular view. Normal pricing is a little steep for a retiree but the GolfNow pricing makes it affordable. I recommend Brasstown highly.
Nice track!!
Very nice course..love the layout. The only concern I have this time I played it was the amount of excess foliage that has grown up along the cart paths and in some holes just in front of the tee boxes. They really should get in and cut back quite a bit of the high growing foliage...with such high foliage it is very difficult for the wind to circulate any air around the course.
Beautiful course
Have been wanting to play this course for some time, and found an unbelievable Hot Deal for a Monday afternoon round.
Course is in great shape with the recent rains.
Greens running true. There was one or two that seemed to have a small portion with some disease, but nothing significant. One hole on back was cart-path only, and fairway seemed to be a little mushy. All other fairways were in great shape.
I expected this to be the typical N. Georgia mountain course with many elevation changes, but that's not the case. Opening hole has some significant elevation, but after that it plays somewhat level, but with some rolling mounds. Lots of bunkers, some water and a nice mixture of wide-open tee shots and a few tighter holes.
Was paired with 1 other gentleman, and we basically had the course to ourselves with a 1:50pm tee time. Finished in less than 3 hours.
Staff was extremely friendly.
All in all a great course. May be the most picturesque course I've played in Georgia in 30 years. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful course
Booked through golf now on a hot deal....staff was great...course was beautiful.... would recommend and would definitely play again
Great course
A must play course when up in the N GA Mountains. Great layout. Course designer really makes you use every club in your bag. Great greens in great shape.
Great reunion golf
Had two old frat brothers in fro a day of golf. Course was in excellent condition...No one slowing or pushing us during play. Had a 40 minute pouring rain delay so it left course a bit wet...Otherwise a great day!!!
Brasstown Valley
WOW! Great course tucked up in the mountains of North Georgia. This course is a course where club selection and precision are of high importance. The course was in great shape, the staff excellent with great local information of the area, the cart girl Kimberly very nice, Marshall Duane kept us aware of play in front as well as rain approaching thru the mountains. Great day for golf and already making plans to go again.
Great layout
Course was in great shape and even though it had rained day before the fairways were dry with ninety degree rule for carts. The scenery is nice. Greens were in great shape as were the fairways.
Great course
Great conditions, friendly staff. Wide open fairways. Resort course with little rough. Great weather. Super friendly staff
Excellent course
Played a day after water injection areation of the greens. Greens were a little slow but rolled good. Not many people playing around 11 am so pace of play was great. Fairways in excellent condition and have allways been that way when we played in the past.
Good Track
Course was in excellent condition. Challenging and well worth the $$$.
Great course, excellent condition
This is a great layout. Conditions were excellent. Not crowded on the Thursday we played and pace of play was great.
Great corse
Nice day and friendly, helpful staff. Got out earlier than expected through attendants attention. Very busy today as it was Members League. Were warned that greens were slow and they were.
Greens
The course was in good condition. They just punched the greens a couple weeks prior to me playing however, so the greens were like Velcro(very slow!)which is to be a little expected.I expect they will quicken w/time. But still had a great experience, and will definitely play it in the near future. Very challenging, and great vistas !
A Nice Course
My round was a day trip and not as a resort guest. Lots of rain in the AM (Thunderstorms). Course drained well with only 4 holes "cart path only"... except for 1 (par 4) and 11 (par 5) which are roped off at the cart path.
It is a "Links" style course. #1 through #18 is a straight haul with no return to the club house, so don't forget anything you need.
I didn't use the practice range or practice chipping areas. Practice putting green was in good condition.
Bunkering is fair and not often a source for collecting tee shots. Greenside bunkers are fairly placed and not much of a penalty if you have a good bunker game.
Greens hadn't been mowed due to the AM rains and were very slow, but rolled true to the perceived break. Greens are not severe in undulation and not represented well by the practice putting green regarding undulation.
This is NOT a walking course. There are several holes with up to a hundred yards+ between holes.
Many great views, streams (trout and such) and some wildlife (turkeys, geese fish and turtles, etc .).
Restrooms and water on the usual 3 hole expectation... well... water to drink anyway.
Fairways are well maintained. I played the white tees, which made the course only moderately difficult. The "tips" may be a different matter, but only due to length.
Greens were in good condition and will likely only get better after aeration marks fully heal and greens can be mowed and rolled. Course is very well maintained.
Suggest golfers go to the course web site to copy and paste by hole information on where to hit and were to avoid that accompanies each hole description on the site. I found it somewhat useful, but fromt he white tees... you can see the challenges and best landing areas.
I had a great time... played by myself... and once the 4-some in front of me let me through... I zipped around with no issues.
It's a good course. Resort also has horse trails, tennis and a moderately priced restaurant. I did not eat at the restaurant and cannot vouch for the food.
