The
St. George, Hurricane and Springdale area of Southern Utah is
alive with art. Perhaps it is the natural beauty that draws photographers
and other artists to the region in large numbers.
Film Festivals, Art Festivals, Theatre, Music and much more are a large
part of celebrations and regular featured events in this region. Film
crews are regularly in the area shooting commercials, television and film

Aerial Tours
The best way to see southwestern Utah and parts of northern Arizona
is by air. Outfitters offer a multitude of ways to experience your
aerial tour.
Sky Diving: Southern Utah now offers the spectacular experience of skydiving,
along with an aerial view of the canyons of Zion National Park! Powered
Parachutes: Sail the skies in one of the safest modes of aerial transportation.
Float of canyons and valleys. Ultra-Light: If you want the closest experience
possible to your childhood flying dreams, then an ultra-light trike ride
is a great way. Airplane: Glide over the mountains and canyon and cover
plenty of ground with an airplane-guided tour. Helicopter: Helicopter
tours offer one of the smoothest ways to see the terrain. Training also
available.Hot Air Balloon: Float above communities and canyons and let
the wind take you on a quiet adventure into the blue. The only sound you
may hear is an irregular refilling of the warm air into your balloon.

The St. George area is full of exciting opportunities for great entertainment.
With places like Tuacahn Center for the Arts, O.C. Tanner Amphitheater,
The Zion Giant Screen Theater, Bumble Berry Playhouse, St. George Musical
Theater, St. George Live, and much more you are bound to find some of
the greatest performances and shows around. While you are visiting St.
George be sure to take advantage of these great opportunities and find
out for yourself what Southern Utah has to offer.
Shopping
Southern Utah is a hot spot for shopping. With factory outlets and big
name stores finding their home in Southern Utah, there is always a deal
for the avid shopper. If you are looking for big names at low prices,
try the River Road shopping plaza with stores like Target and Ross. If
you are interested in quaint shops and art galleries, then Ancestor Square
is the place for you. If you just need the necessities, Southern Utah
has two Super Walmarts, one at the north end in Washington and one at
the south end in Bloomington.
Fishing
There are a myriad of Lakes and Streams in the Washington County area
just waiting for you. From low desert to high mountains you'll find bass,
trout and other fishing is excellent. Water sources from Zion National
Park and the 10,000 foot high Pine Valley Mountain bring streams filled
with trout to reservoirs such as Gunlock, Baker, Quail Creek, Sand Hollow,
Kolob and others.
Bring your boat, float tubes or fish from the shore and you'll find plenty
of good angling throughout the county. Fishing licenses may be obtained
from stores in St. George, Hurricane, Veyo, Enterprise and other towns.
Guided Tours & Adventures
Drop your vehicle in Las Vegas, Mesquite, St. George or Cedar City and
expert guides will take you out on a van tour of the region, or climb
in a Jeep, Suburban or Hummer and experience a scenic backcountry guided
trip. You'll also find guides to take you on an ATV ride, walking or hiking
tour or any number of other guided outdoor experiences. Check the list

Horseback Riding
Horseback riding in this region is just about as spectacular as it gets.
The high deserts of southern Utah, red-rock canyons and high mountain
forest are all within minutes when you stay in the Washington County area.
We have several outfitters who can take you on horseback adventures, including
short one-two hour rides in Zion National Park, full day rides in areas
outside the park or multi-day rides into the mountains and wilderness
of the wild and exciting region.
While riding horseback you'll see and hear the sounds of nature in a
way that is hard to experience any other way. Deer, Elk, rabbits, coyotes,
roadrunners, and a bevy of birds and other wildlife are all found in southwestern
Utah. For a minute you just might begin to feel like one of the old-west
explorers seeing this unbelievable country for the first time.
Museums
Art, historical, wildlife, dinosaur tracks, you name it you may just
find it here in St. George, Hurricane and Springdale.
One of the finest collections in the world can be found at Rosenbruch
Wildlife Museum. Visitors can view a video presentation in the new 200
seat theater prior to walking through the mountains and the plains of
the world with stops at the world bug collection and in the art gallery
along the way. Experience first hand wildlife in a natural habitat setting
that will prove educational. Your experience is further enhanced with
your personal audio presentation that accompanies you to describe the
