Desert Pines Golf Club is out to create a little taste of Pinehurst and the Carolina Sandhills in downtown Las Vegas. It's a worthy creation, but what's more impressive is how little land was used to do it. As a result of high property values most courses in Las Vegas face the challenge of building on small acreage.
