fairways demanding but in good shape
course is in excellent shape and demanding for the beginner but rewarding if you make the good shot. greens are true and the staff was very friendly. I am playing it again.
Nice course.
Great staff. The cart was brought to my car before I shut my car off. Very nice staff i inside clubhouse. Will play again. First hole is just unfair!!
We did not tame the snake.
Beautiful course and very well kept. I found this course to be very challenging. Bring your A-game or lots of balls.
Tight, lots of short par 4s, bring balls.
Snakes, Alligators, Bogeys, Oh My!
Bag man needs a friendship lesson. Even made the starter mad.
No rough: Trees, swamps, lakes border all fairways. Enjoyed the back side more than "lost-ball front". No rangers, therefore play was slow - 5 hours.
Slow play, 5+ hours
Course in good condition, slow play made it worse!
lots of risk/reward opportunities
greens a little rough, normal this time of year. otherwise in OK shape. lots of challenges some very long holes and some tough short holes. starter was terrific, with lots of advice for the starting 3 holes which gave you an idea of how the whole course would play.
Excellent value and very challenging
The opening three holes will set the tone for your game. They should be called "the snake pit" . Very easy to start out with three double bogies. Fairways are tight but in great shape. Greens are quick but true and held approach shots well. Lots of sand that makes accuracy very important. We are average golfers and we found that the white tees (5950 yds)gave us all we could handle. Only downside was that it was slow the day we played (5 hrs).Look forward to playing it again soon
Nice track worth the price we paid
We played both this track and Greenlefe across the street. While this course was a little bit tighter (especially the first 3 or 4 holes), the course conditions were leaps and bounds better than the other course we played. The staff was friendly and pace of play was comfortable. We were not able to pull driver out of the bag until for the first couple of holes and this definitely is a shot makers course. The greens rolled true and fast and the sandtraps were nicely maintained.
If you are going to make the trip from Orlando (it's about 30-40 minutes away from the Disney area), I would definitely choose this one over the one across the street.
needs attention
Greens need attention. Considering green contour, greens are not user friendly for tourist golf. 40 plus miles from Disney, cost , even with golfnow, is too high.
not the usual resort course
The course is quite tight and requires accuracy off the tee. There is hardly any water on the course but every fairway is bordered by trees and overgrowth and it's a lost ball if you go in it. No houses around the course and plenty of nature. If you are fed up with playing over lakes and between houses, give it a go.
What a great golf course
I would definitely recommend this to friends, everything about was so nice. Awesome job.
Tight fairways with landing areas that need to be used if you want to score well.
Tough, tight course that requires that most shots need to be to a target to set up for the next shot. If you can hit a 150 yd shot well, always consider that distance to shoot for the green on this course. The greens were fun as they have many undulations to consider. Play from your proper tees or closer the first time you play here. This course can take much more time to play as players try to find their wayward shots. Please drop another and keep going! I would follow these suggestions next time and expect to score much better.
Great shape Great Fun to Play
There was a pretty good rain early yesterday but the course appeared to drain quite well. The score card and maps of each hole are well laid out. It still helps to have payedthe course to get better idea where to place your shots. This is a challenging course that is fun to play.
Played this course in 2012 ,it was the best, this year definitely gone downhill in every aspect. Really needs some hard work being put in on all areas
Sorry but disapointed in the course presentation on all aspects. This course is a good challenge of one's golf game but having to contend with inconsistent fairways by way of lie, poor bunker condition with bad sand, poorly maintained and greens that have been scalped in places by poorly serviced mowing equipment to the extent that they are bald in places is not good.
Have played it off the Blue tees and my wife played it off some very bad well worn grey tees . All tees have a need of weeding and feeding.
A great course layout let down by what seems a lack of course maintenance .
The meet and greet and the bar is up there with the rest.
Great golf experience
This was the best golf experience of our week in the Orlando area. The course is a terrific track and in very good shape. The staff are exceptional. Cannot wait to play it again.
Challenging but fun
You need to place some shots, not always a driver off the tee. This course has a lot of character and plenty of places to get in trouble, but it is laidout well and well maintained. The first time it helps to play with someone who knows the course.
Great course and value for your money.
We arrived early and accommodated the starter by going out early. He was very friendly and appreciative even though we felt a bit rushed. The course was in very good shape especially for mid-February. We found it challenging but fair. We had a great day and are booked to return next week.
TRULY ENJOYABLE AND INTERESTING
PLAYED THIS COURSE TWICE AND IT WAS A LOT OF FUN.
LOVED HAVING NO HOUSING LINING THE FAIRWAYS AS ARE MOST COURSES IN FLORIDA.
GREENS NOT PERFECT BUT IN OVERALL GOOD CONDITION.
WILL PLAY AGAIN NEXT YEAR FOR SURE.
ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND GRENLEFE COURSE ACROSS
THE STREET.
Very challenging, great track
This course has some very challenging holes. The track is great with elevated tees and greens. Well worth the money.
Course is somewhat challenging.
First three holes are challenging and can cause someone to loose faith for remainder of round. Most holes are tight but scenic in a way.
