RE: Michelle Wie September 13, 2006, 2:49 am

by John
While I would love to see an Ostrich carry John Daly's bag, what I'd like to see even more is for Michelle Wie to loop for Tiger AND Annika in the next "battle at bighorn" or "showdown at sherwood", or whatever catchy phrase they've come up with. Maybe she'd be able to take some pointers and learn how to win a tournament.

I agree with many of the e-mails shown. We never hear how much Michelle is being paid to "show up". It is definitely not because she is a good golfer. I wish the media would leave the poor girl alone for about three more years so that she could compete on the LPGA. She is definitely not ready to compete on the men's tours so it all boils down to money.

I would be very happy never to hear her name again! Great golf is being played by many women on the LPGA Tour and they are not receiving the kudos they deserve.
Even at age 16, how many "like you know" do we have to listen to on those stupid interviews. Enough of this little twit already!

AMEN TO YOUR COMMENT! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH OF "SHE'S ONLY 16", "PHENOM" AND ETC... OF HOW GOOD SHE IS! THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD FEMALE GOLFERS THAT DO NOT GET THE CREDIT THEY WELL DESERVE DUE THE MASS CONCENTRATION ON "WIE-WIE". I GUESS MONEY SPEAKS AND GIVES A PERSON A SENSE OF SECURITY? SHE'S A GOOD EXAMPLE OF IT!

Just because you can hit the ball a country mile doesn't mean you can play the game. Michelle can't putt. Period. Most of this beguiling game is making good on the putt after you have worked so hard to get there. She needs mental toughening, which can develop only after she finds a way to make her hard work pay off. She may get there eventually, but I sure don't see it in her now. Long ball or no!

It's time we stop making a "buck off" her noteriety. Come on now,,,She's a good golfer, but she doesn't seem to be able to close one out. She's moving more in the directon of Chas Howell III, or any of the other "range rats" now playing tournament golf. In fact, comparing her to Chas Howell or other also rans probably is the best comparison category.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about Michelle Wie. Until she can win on the women's tour she doesn't need to be on the men's!!! If I were some of the women playing in the LPGA, I'd get sick and tired of hearing about the unproven "Wie". There are women playing there that deserve much more recognition than she does.

SHORT SKIRTS DONT WIN TOURNEMENTS, A SHORT GAME DOES

Michelle Wie September 12, 2006, 5:21 pm

I am very tired of hearing about Michelle Wie. In my humble opinion, there are many male PGA Tour players with more game and yet let exposure than Michelle gets. Let's face it, she says she get's a rush from playing the men and yet she can't even win a LPGA event. If it were not for the money that 'someone' is getting (in addition to her incentives) for her to try to play on the PGA tour, PGA wouldn't allow her to try until she proved herself qualified. I'm tired of hearing about her and I think the coverage that so many sports networks are providing her show their lack of respect for the sport, and the 'true' PGA Tour Pros that are trying to make a living at Golf. We all know that Michelle certainly doesn't need to make any more money. All of the Sports Networks, New Agencies and Event Sponsors have made her a very rich 'Girl'...not 'Woman'.

Phenom, she has yet to win any tournament. She does not deserve to play with the Men. Stay on the Women's Tour until she proves herselve. In five years I think we will not even remember Michele Wie.
