This article contains some excellent writing.
"There are still reminders, like the scars on an old fighter." It don't get no better than that.
I also like the lead: "The big orange moon hanging over the waters of Biloxi Bay, like some kind of a gaudy, casino advertisement, looks either forlorn or hopeful, depending on your perspective."
That's what I'm talking about. This could be textbook material for aspiring wordsmiths.
The entire article was well-written and well thought-out.
That boy Tim McDonald can do it to it.
