Don't waste your time with timber ridge, go right to hawk hollow/eagle eye, the emerald at maple creek or college fields.

I agree. Go to Eagle Eye or Hawk Hollow. This writer, Chris Baldwin, is an idiot.
Eagle Eye was my favorite along with Shepherd's Hollow in a recent golf trip to Mid Michigan and Michigan Thumb.
