Having just read this article, I was amazed at how accurately it described my experiences in the same region.
Not only is the writer correct about the golf courses (including the ones he did not play) the total ambience and the people are fantastic.
I am just now in the process of setting up another golf junket for seveal of my friends to move a little east and play the courses in the East Kooenay area.
Maybe the most senic golf I have ever experienced in my 50 years of playing the game.

When you go on a golf vacation, less than 20% of the time is actually on the golf course......
Don't forget the women, the night life, the women, the resorts, the women....
Scottsdale/Phoenix is the best destination.......especially in the summer with green fees at their lows!!!!!

Good article on golf in the Kootenays but you missed the best courses by only covering the West Kootenays. Travel East ot Cranbrook,Kimbeley, Fairmont Hot Springs, Invemere, Radium Hot Springs and Golden and you will see a poliferation of fantastic golf courses at good prices !!!
