Fed Ex Cup July 29, 2007, 8:13 pm

by Frank Ferrell
No conditions for claiming the $10 million prize, save for (1) having the most points after the Tour Championship and (2) possessing a PGA Tour Full-Time Membership. This Fed Ex thing might be more appealing if you had an unconditional $5 million Grand Prize, and a conditional $10 million prize.
In addition, the Fed Ex Cup Playoff events will be - as is the case with the WGC's - the very same ones each. No other Tour stops will share in the playoff experience.

FedEx Cup Name Boycott November 14, 2006, 10:40 am

by Patrick Milan
Very interesting. So a guy whose column is accompanied by nine ads and more than 40 paid advertiser links is going to boycott the commercialized name of the PGA Tour playoff system. Well then I think we should honor his high moral stand and ask that all advertisers be removed from any attachment to his column; and we should all write to the current advertisers to let them know we will no longer support their products because this is a "movement." You are not a journalist -- you're a golf writer. Get over it.

If you don't know the difference between legitimate advertising and vulgar, corporate exploitation, you are even stupider than you sound.
