Of course, you could always drive 45-60 minutes south to the Casa Grande area and play at Robson Ranch for $39.

There are SO many great golf courses here, but thankfully most of them are off the radar of everyone but us locals. :) I can get in a round for less than $60 (cart included) at any of about 25 great courses within a 20-mile radius of my home, which is about 15 minutes from downtown Phoenix. (And that's not even counting another dozen or so that are only so-so courses.) Let the out-of-towners pay $200 for a round...me, I'll be happily playing a round for $50 in Chandler or Mesa while all my macho friends are busy yelling at their big screens.
