David R. Holland has been named "Writer of the Month"
for June by INCA Golf,
which has added a link to his author
archives on its website.
"Dave's comprehensive course reviews have been an integral part of the TravelGolf.com operation for nearly three years now, and it's great to see him receive this well-deserved recognition," said TravelGolf.com editor Doug Carey. Holland is a former sportswriter for The Dallas Morning News and the Waco Tribune-Herald. His golf writing credits include The International, the British Open, Colonial, Byron Nelson Classic, AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and LPGA events. His freelance credits include the Dallas Cowboys Weekly, United Press International (Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks) and Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He was owner and publisher of Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex Football Magazine from 1978 to 1991. He has a journalism degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He is also an Air Force Reserve retiree, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in Public Affairs at the Pentagon-level.
