TUCSON, AZ (APRIL19, 2001) -TravelGolf.com, publishers 21 online
regional travel and golf publications, is reporting today that
Quokka Sports, publishers of Golf.com, has ceased operations.
According to an email sent by Quokka/Golf.com official Tim Shannehan, Quokka has "ceased operations" effective Wednesday. No specific information was provided regarding the status of Quokka's Golf.com portal. Last February, QuokkaSailing.com folded after a restructuring that let go of many Quokka staffers.
