The Links at Everline
About
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Everline Resort & Spa is a delight not only for its great golf, but for its history and scenic qualities, as well. In fact, the Audubon Society has certified the Everline Resort & Spa as a Cooperative Sanctuary due to its commitment toward natural greens-keeping methods.
Nestled in a scenic valley with protected wetlands, the Everline Resort & Spa gives golfers an outstanding day on the links, combining challenging play with awe-inspiring scenery. Forced carries and tight fairways put accuracy at a premium at this course, which holds a mind-boggling slope rating of 146 from the back tees.
For golf travelers looking to make Squaw Valley their home base, the golf action will not disappoint, and the resort has four outstanding restaurants, as well as all the amenities any golf traveler should expect from this legendary golf destination that was a host to the 1960 Summer Olympics.

Great Potential
I was thoroughly impressed with the overall facilities. But was fairly disappointed in the condition of the course. As benign as the winters have been I would have expected the tees and greens to be in much better shape. The course itself is a great layout but be prepared for some of the RTJ forced layups and a lot of target golf. The front 9 can lull you to sleep a little, as I shot 33, but the back 9 will get your full attention. We played in 3 hours which was phenomenal and I will definitely return despite the above mentioned short comings.
Does not tolerate miss hits
If you are not straight and accurate with your shots, this course can be very frustrating. I was paired with two other singles but I was the only first-timer. I'm struggling with a slice when using my driver and I paid the penalty (I think I lost 9 balls). However, one of my partners, who normally shoots in the mid-90's (I usually show in the 100's), said he lost 12 balls. When you have a 195 yard par 3 where you lose the ball in the hazard if you're 10 yards short of the green is a bit rough. A push or pull can be just as hazardous to your score.
Golf course
First time their. Dont think ill return. If your not staying at Squaw Creek, and your just coming there to play they make it very difficult for you to find the Pro Shop. Make sure you bring alot of balls cause this course is Really narrow, And difficult.
super unique layout
Course was in good shape super fast greens and really cool layout was real smokey out due to fires in erea was real slow had tourny going on and this group had no golf politeness and there was no marshall out there to keep them in line very disappointing would like to play again when no tourny going on
Might be better if we ever get rain
Fairways and greens were burned out. The streams that meander around the course are all dried up. If course conditions had been better, I would have given it an extra star.
September is special
Great weather, few golfers and excellent course condition all led to an amazing day. Took advantage of the "all you can play" offer and played 36 holes in 7 hours.
Poor Choice
Played the course for the first time, unfortunately the course is poorly maintained. To start with, there is no driving range, you hit balls into a net. You need to pick up your own balls. All the greens are in poor condition, lumpy and bumpy. The bunkers are full of weeds. The cart girl complained about how long she was on shift, and was very rude. There is no bathrooms on the course. The resort it's self was beautiful. The only good thing about sqawcreek was Dustin the bartender at Sandys. He poured great drinks! I do not recommend this course!
Amazing course with excellent vistas
Amazing views. Challenging course, in very good condition. I would play again in a heart beat. I play a lot of golf on different courses around the world and this made my top list.
Poor condition
Course is poorly maintained and was set up on not enough land for a good golf course.
Very hard for any golfer above a ten handicap, because it's very tight and a target golf course with a lot of forced layup shots.
Great location just run cheaply but, NOT CHEAP TO PLAY!
Overall the course was good.
Complaints: Easy fix. Not able to drive off cart path...PROBLEM! Bunkers, full of weeds!!
Groups of 5 ahead of us...PROBLEM! No ranger!
Beverage cart, nice girl but, Prices were WAY out of line! The selection of snacks and beverages were TERRIBLE!!! Fosters, Coors "lite", No names brands!!! Really!!! A resort like this should have Quality beverages! Then they had the nerve to charge $7 and $8 for this stuff!!! Skittles!!! Who eats this stuff on the golf course? These are adults NOT 6 year old's and they paid good $$$ to play here. Overall....somewhat disappointed!!
For a 18 handicap or less
Cart path only and target golf just as the add says.
Few trees and water hazards but plenty of marsh lands and the rough is natural and deep. Will loose a ball if not in the fairway. Cart path only is not bad if you hit the fairway. Overall challenging and you can't beat the scenery.
great golf course
I have played five times and really like the course. this is target golf so accuracy, especially off the tee is important. very fair test of golf. there are no blind shots and greens are moderate speed. fantastic views and staff could not be nicer.
Not My Favority Type of Course
Being that it is a resort course, a lot of tipping is required, be prepared. Also have everything you need when you leave the car as it is not convenient to return to your car.
The course is a summer course, not very well maintained, seems like an afterthought to the resort. It is environmentally sensitive so cart path only. I did get a red flag but still difficult to maneuver. Overall, not my style, too much punishment for barely bad shots. Between us we lost over 10 balls.
Bring Your A Game
This course is set at the base of Squaw Valley Ski Resort and offers sweeping vistas of the cable car tram and surrounding mountains. The layout is extremely challenging because the majority of the holes are surrounded by a marsh. There are not very many trees in play which makes the wind a big factor if you are playing in the afternoon. I would only play this course if your handicap is 12 and under otherwise you will lose lots of balls and have a bad time.
just poor
Service bad, greens were rubbish had weeds on them were in terrible condition bouncy and slow worst in the sierra!!! The local nine hole is in much better shape.
Even for $29 a round, I'd skip this course.
Poor lay out, very narrow fairways, all greens (if that is what you call them) are on top of knolls. Course is designed for scratch golfers yet condition of the course is comparable to poor public courses. If you are a 12 handicap or higher and don't hit dead straight, bring lots of balls.
Beautiful setting
I played mid afternoon on a Sunday and my partner and I had the course wide open. We didn't have to wait at any hole. The course is a typical mountain course with the front nine having narrow sloping fairways. This means you have to pretty accurate or you will have lots of work to do. The back nine is in the meadow area but not without challenge. While the fairways are wider you have many marsh areas you must layup to so that you carry the area. This was a challenge for me being the first time playing here. I will have better course management skills next time. I would like to play again. I must say the resort is conserving water as evident in brown spots on fairways and greens that are not velvet. If this does not bother you its a great place to play.
Not worth the time.
This course is not worth the time and money. Should be a $20 course, with the prices (we paid $67 each) you would expect much, much more. No range, just a net with tattered old mats, practice green and practice area were a mess. There are lots of good courses in the area where your money will go further and you'll feel better about spending the time.
Not what I was expecting
Squaw is such a nice resort I was assuming the golf facilities would be a lot better
No driving range and the greens were awful
