Charlie Tawse - Contributor

Former PGA Golf Professional and Coordinator of Instruction at Ben Sutton Golf School, Florida.

For Charlie Tawse, golf is more than a game -- it’s an addiction. Tawse was introduced to the game by his father, who was a golf professional in Scotland. In 1951 Tawse migrated to the U.S with family at the age of 15. As a teenager, Tawse played in all the junior and caddy tournaments in Illinois, with great success.

He left Chicago University after one semester because all he wanted to do was play golf. On the recommendation of Johnny Revolta a former PGA Champion, Tawse turned professional and served his apprenticeship under Revolta’s guidance.
