Chris Traber - Contributor

Chris Traber has divided his career between journalism and corporate communications. Graduating with a journalism degree from Ryerson University in Toronto, he was a feature and sportswriter for The Toronto Sun and United Press International covering major league baseball, basketball and hockey. His freelance work has appeared in ranging international publications including The Globe & Mail, New York Times, Success and Global Reinsurance.

Executive positions with TVOntario, Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations and American Express Canada Inc. culminated in a three-year posting with a major offshore bank in Bermuda. Upon his return to Canada he founded a marketing communications firm and a publishing subsidiary, both of which he sold in 1999.

Refocused on writing, Traber authored a pair of golf books, Strictly Fore Laughs and Course Language. He is a regular golf contributor to Business Times, The Economist & Sun, Good Life Magazine and North of the City Magazine.
