Tullymore Golf Resort

Hidden in the Canadian Lake region of mid-Michigan, Tullymore Golf Resort boasts a large variety of accommodations, all offering vastly different vacation experiences. There are the 36 rooms and suites of the Inn at St. Ives; cottages; home rentals; condominiums and the Lodge at Tullymore. The impressive Lodge is particularly unique. With 10 separate bedrooms equipped with their own baths and two double beds, it is perfect for large golf groups or a family reunion-type getaway. The two-story common area offers a great hangout spot with a full kitchen, large flat screen TV and pool and poker tables. There's an outdoor pool nearby.

The golf is incomparable. In 2002, Jim Engh designed Tullymore Golf Club, which consistently ranks among the top public golf courses in the country. Three par 3s on the front nine and three par 5s on the back keep players off-balance and engaged. The older St. Ives course by Jerry Matthews rides bigger hills and ridges, adding scenery and shot-making to the equation. The back nine opens into a meadow stocked with wetlands and ponds. The restaurants inside Tullymore's $7 million clubhouse and St. Ives' castle-like clubhouse are superb.
