Why in God's green earth are we glorifying a "man" that has slept with countless women and treated his own body like a trash dump. This is the problem with todays athletes they wnat all the glory for what they have become but no remorse for the trail of destruction they left behind, the wolf is still in there creeping along in their nice sheep clothing. I refuse to celebrate the athletes that should never be in the hall of fame that have lived in thei manner. Also, I would never let my sons look up to these paper heros. People should hold these people accountable to who they are and reduce their imcomes by their morals. We allow these low standards and pay them well for living the way that they do. Kobe should never be allowed to hold a basketball again, Lawrence Taylor should be removed from the hall, Mark McGuire and Sammy, and Barry should be stripped of all their accomplishments. Let the real men stand up and be celebrated.

| Woods and Nicklaus |

Woods is a great golfer, no doubt. Maybe he'll beat Jack's record, maybe not. However, he has a way to go in human relations. I realise its different now; nore scary, more need for security, more crowds, etc. But he does come across as remote from his public, at least to me here in Europe. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that whereas Jack was a great golfer and ambassador for the game, Tiger is only a great golfer. Pity, because he seems a really nice young guy. Perhaps, hopefully, time will change that.

I agree with Mark Clemmons, Tiger is way ahead of the charity game compared to Nicklaus at the same point in his career. I think that Tiger has a real appreciation for what he has and how fortunate he is. And I don't think he needs to be in a race with Magic Johnson or any other figure (tough to compete with the Gates Foundation). This is about Tiger doing what in his heart he feels is right. It's an absolute measure and not relative to what anyone else is doing. And I, for one, believe that we will continue to be pleased with Tiger the human being, not just Tiger the golfer.

Helloooooooo.... Tiger's foundation is already doing tremendous work for the underprivilege and he didn't wait until he was a former athlete. He formed the foundation at the beginning of his career. I like Magic, but as it relates to your article on 10/4, Tiger is way ahead of Magic.

Mark Clemmons and Doug Ball are right on the money. I suggest that before an article like the one we are responding to is written, Mr. Wolfrum should do better research...or, avoid omissions. The Tiger Woods Foundation is far-reaching in it's concept and enhances the lives of human beings of various ethnicities. His new educational center is set to open and it will rival the Gates Foundation's focus on "small learning communities". Young people who will be participants will experience enhancements in their academic pursuits and be exposed to significant business networking. I know that Tiger's immediate successes and the longevity of them rubs some subscribers raw, but it illustrates that no matter the height and depth of one's accomplishments, there are those who will always see the glass as half empty and those who get pleasure out trying to tear you down. I can only imagine the difficulty those folk have in living with such negativity.
