Like some of your other readers, I wonder that you could possibly neglect mentioning the incredibly beautiful Kaluako golf course - or perhaps you wanted to keep that secret to yourself :-) Staying at the Resort (which has changed hands numerous times), nothing beats a cocktail at the end of the day - sitting on your lanai, watching some hapless golfers driving a ball into the ravine. We all do it - right? Aloha!

| Golf on Molokai |

I'm curious to know if you are even aware about the Kaluakoi Golf Course, the only 18-hole course on Molokai? As G. Jones mentions, it's designed by Ted Robinson and has 5 holes along the deep Pacific blue. Hole #3 is so scenic and beautiful, it's been the scene of a few marriage proposals. Two of my favorite features of this challenging course are the occasional wild turkey or deer that cross your path and that it's on Molokai. I may risk losing not waiting for a tee time if the secret comes out, but I’ll chance it set the story straight – you should come out and try it.

The Challenge at Manele on Lanai is the best golf experience I have ever had. The course, the staff and the food at the clubhouse all rate 5 stars. If you love golf, and especially golf in the Islands, The Challenge is a must play...put it on your life list...you won't be disappointed!

| Hawaiian Golf |

Your article on Hawaiian Golf other than the Big Island, Maui and Oahu was in error in that it left out a great course on Molokai.
The Kaluakoi Golf Course on the western side of the island is a great test of golf. It has recently been remodeled and is a wonderful venue. It was designed by Ted Robinson and has everything you would want in a Hawaiian course; wind, ocean holes, inland holes winding upland and wildlife.
You were correct in saying Molokai is Hawaii as it should be. It is very quiet and the residents are a delight.
Try it, you'll like it.
