Doug Carey This Week at TravelGolf.com: Feb. 17, 2004

Being a golf writer is a lot like being a movie reviewer. Everyone thinks they could do the job. With our new "Travel Marshals" program, TravelGolf.com is ready to open the floodgates.

According to president Robert Lewis, TravelGolf.com is searching for a few good Travel Marshals to write "detailed, informative, blatantly honest golf course reviews for Netcaddie.com to augment our professional, journalistic endeavors." Only serious golfers need apply. USGA handicap (index) preferred, but not required. First and foremost is the ability to write clear, concise, and entertaining prose as it pertains to golf courses in your region, or regions you frequently visit.

Travel Marshals will not be paid for course reviews. However, they will be eligible for frequent giveaways, including equipment, apparel, and even golf vacations. If you think you're Travel Marshal material, fill out our online application before checking out our usual full roster of reviews and travel features this week. Start your reading with the newest installment of the Travel Golf Guy, where Shane Sharp comments on several intriguing travel trends. As always, your comments are welcome on any topic. Have a great week.
