| Seems to me like Ken Venturi's "revelation" about Arnold Palmer's 1958 Masters win received far too much exposure last week. Besides helping to sell a few books, what does Venturi have to gain by opening this all up again? Even if his claims are to be trusted, we're not talking about the JFK assassination. It's an interesting piece of golf history, and nothing more. Not surprisingly, Palmer is staying above the fray, handling things in his usual classy way. Coincidentally, just as the Venturi-Palmer story hit the wires, our own Tom Bedell checked in with his new "Another round" column, featuring none other than the King himself. After playing 18 holes at Bay Hill with Palmer, Bedell joined him at the clubhouse bar for peanuts and brew. It's a story you won't want to miss. After catching up with the King, be sure to check out our usual full roster of reviews and travel features, plus Derek Duncan's newest Armchair Architect column, which examines the many changes at Augusta National. As always, your comments are welcome on any topic, including the Venturi-Palmer discussion. Have a great week.
