| Are You Reporting News or Are You the News |

I thought your owner went on a big campaign a year or two ago trying to bring your sites credibility.
But now I see that you've broken one of the rules of media credibility. The media reports the news, it should not be the news.
Why would you quote one of your own columnists in your story? And even if that is forgiven, why would you minimize the importance/significance of your company by writing an "Oh My God, Donald Trump Actually Called Our Writer" story? You should have used this to your benefit in a more meaningful way, but instead you only portrayed yourselves as non-journalists.
This quote said it all... "It's not often you get a call saying Donald Trump would like to speak to you and he's suddenly on the line," Baldwin said. "Usually as reporters, we're chasing those kind of figures down, trying to get a call back. They're not seeking you out."
So Baldwin never called Trump in the first place then? Why would he assume Trump wouldn't call you back. Oh, that's right, that's the whole premise of the story.

In point of fact, Brian, this isn't a "story" or even a column - just a quickie newsletter intro. You'll find our stories posted on www.TravelGolf.com.
Now, we're not the New York Times or even Golf Digest, just a niche publication geared towards travelling golfers. And while we're extremely proud of what we've accomplished, of the number of golfers we reach, and the reputation we've earned, it was still a kick to hear that someone like Donald Trump not only read our story but felt it mattered enough to pick up the phone and call one of our reporters.

I assume that my e-ticket for the plane is in the email? Don't tell me that Baldwin is the only one who gets to go!

Not sure how you can have Pelican North as one of the top 10 when they closed down last year and do not expect to be open for another year or two
