I wonder who the writers would be talking about if all of the young players on the LPGA had the same breaks, exemptions and benefits of Wie? Anyone care to guess?

Phil Mickelson may be the best male golfer based on the results you cite, but one just can't help thinking that if he could play the game of golf anywhere near as well as Anika Sorenstam he would win the Grand Slam going away and probably more than once. His driving at the Open was comical, but very entertaining for us hackers. So he now carries two drivers, one to go left (fade) and one to go right (draw)? How about carrying a third one set up to go straight? I love the Calloway ads that show Phil looking down the fairway with a faintly puzzled, disbelieving expression. I always wondered what he was supposed to be thinking or saying. Now I know. "Gosh, did it really hit the tent??" And as for chopping out of six inch rough with a fairway wood from 140 yards out, and hacking the ball just a couple of yards, that was pure Rodney Dangerfield. Put that in Tip of the Month in Golf Digest. I really like Phil, but boy, it would be nice to see him exercise some calm, disciplined, and thoughtful course management. Think son of Fred Funk and Anika.

PLEASE GET OVER IT ALREADY.
SHE HAS DONE NOTHING EXCEPT GET TO MANY EXEMPTIONS. THE WHOLE LPGA NEEDS A DRESS CODE. WIE NEEDS TO GET SOME OUTFITS THAT "FIT".

I am also a non-golf Wie fan. She is a cute giant wonder (do you get exactly how tall 6 2" makes her look in person?). You can't even be jealous when someone like her comes along--increadibly charming and gifted. She is from another planet.
