Chris Most fire fighters don't get millions to play. They do it for their communities. So please don't belittle them. By the way I am not a fire fighter. Try sticking to golf travel news. Or are you working outside your field of expertise as Ms. Wie is

Enough is enough - let her play where she belongs and where she hasn't won yet. one day she might have what it takes to win on the men's tour, but now is not the time. Is she taking the place of a man, maybe with a family, trying to make a living? Enough said!

Michele Wie is a great example of our times when one wants and sometimes gets it all, long before the fruits of ones labor used to allow. I have the utmost respect and admiration for Michele's potential, but will hold back my applause until she earns it. Being good at something is far different than being great. Great performers are uncommon because they have not only the ability, work ethic and determination but also that special something that enables them to sustaine a level of performance that enables them to win and win over time. We see examples of this in all facets of life, business and particularly sports. The difference between Tiger Woods and lets say David Duval or in basketball; Michael Jordan and 99.8% of the rest of the NBA field, Mohammad Ali and Mike Tyson. The list goes on. The one thing that stands out is that those who achieve greatness are far less affected by the distractions and temptations of fame and fortune at least as it affects their sustainable achievement in their particular field. Michele is a long way from proving that to me and I would guess many more potential fans.

Guts?..Nay! Immaturity?...Aye! Michele did play golf against the opposite sex during her "non-pro" days here in Hawaii. And..granted she did out drive and out golf some of them. I guess seeing all of this, her parents sort of pushed it to her that she CAN compete with the pro's in the PGA! BRAINS!..Nay! Only in what she reads out of books. For a Punahou (private school) grad, she should have taken up SPEECH! Horrible on camera! Now...Tadd Fujukawa, Moanaloa student (public school)being 16 yrs. of age, is so opposite of Michele. He is so down to earth and UNDERSTANDABLE! Michele hand wavings (2 to each side)is so FAKE and un-feeling..she waves BEFORE anything she does, like...oh well...I'll just wave to acknowledge what-ever! Her hand-wrap? She was advised by her medical doctor to rest it...Did she?...Nay! Immaturity! I guess it would've have served the purpose..ie..(l) missed the cut..blame it on the injury..(2) made the cut...What a golfer in spite of the injury! And last but not least...NIKE GODDESS? PLEEEEEEEZE! Nay!

Chris Baldwin is an idiot. Michelle Wie can't beat the girls. What makes her think she can play with the men?
Females do not belong on the PGA Tour!

First off I want to make quite clear that I'm no women hater or anything like that. I even applaud the fact that she has what golf skills she has. Her "money making machine" however is pushing her way too fast to make the most millions in the shortest possible time. She's not mature enough yet to compete at the level of their expectation. In order for Michelle Wie to get her act together she should concentrate on proving herself on the LPGA tour first. Instead of trying to prove she's just as good as a man on the PGA Tour. Let her go make her bones(win some majors) on the LPGA and if she's got anything left, then come on and let her run with the "big dogs" Hell, she's still a pup so let her grow up first.

If the goal in life for most people is to work our whole life doing what we love to do and get paid for it.....
What's the problem?
How many of us can say we are doing what we love to do and as a teenager are not only making a living at it but instead making millions $ per year?
I for one applaud Michelle Wie.
She has reached a period in life 99.999% of us will never reach.
So shut up!!!!

Why does anyone care if she makes the cut? Eventually, after hundreds of tries she will make the cut, but she will never compete with the men. If making the cut is competing then placing 30th in a Nascar race must mean the same thing. Making the cut does not prove anything.
There is only one female golfer that deserves to try and "compete" with the men and it is Annika. She is the only one that stands out. She tried one time and failed but she is the only one that deserves a chance. If Annika had as many attempts as "Wie Wie" she would have already made the cut. I wish Annika would try and make the cut again, then we would not even have to hear the name of "Wie, Wie" again!!!

Gimme a break. This kid certainly has some God given talent but she needs to play women's sports with other women. Men and women can certainly play the same sport but not on the same skill level. Men are built with more strength. Women play closer to the pin from the tee box. There's no shame in this. Let the girl grow up, learn how to cook and sew, go out on dates with boys her age, attend her school prom, hang out at the mall and whatever else teens should do at her age. Let her practice, get better at the game and then try and compete on the LPGA, not the PGA. Why can't women just compete with women? Why this gender competetion where the girl has to prove to the world that she's as good as the boys?

We, Wie, or rather Why?
Why in the world is this girl keeping
to prove she can beat the men in their
game of golf. Play with them yes, but
not in tournaament to compete with purpose of winning.
Why is this golfer allowed to compete
in tournaments when they have not
officially qualified for it?
Why is there sponsorship when she has
not exhibited talent so far?
Why does she not go through golf school
as most famous golfers have to gain more
skill and reknown?
Why, spoil a child???

Michelle has tremendous talent no doubt. It is unfortunate however that sponsors and media promote her participation at PGA events over the efforts of men who have their PGA cards but will not get to play because she has been given their slot. These other players have earned their cards and do not get a chance to play. IF Michelle qualified by score then so be it.

Ok gang, let's think outside the box. If Michelle doesn't want to play much with the women, then lets bring the women to her. Let us change the "FedEx Cup" to the "FedEx Super Tour" by adding 40 more of the top womens players to each tournament which would now become about a 200 player field and lets rumble. This would mix things up and force who is the best women competing with the men. I'm not sure how Michelle will perform, but I would certainly watch this!!! I'm sure it would drive the men crazy, but it's golf and the purses would be much larger. The LPGA would turn into the launching pad for women to get to the Super Tour! Anyway....just a thought...a futures tour for sure...what do you think?
