Ms. Jones & Wanda, you also might want to read about Rio Secco Golf Club's T-Mates - caddies in bathing suits:
http://www.lasvegasgolf.com/departments/clientfeatures/rio-secco-golf-club-las-vegas-t-mates-caddies-6158.htm
Shocking, scandalous stuff here. Imagine a golf club admitting that many men like good-looking women. I for one am outraged! The nerve of their truth telling campaign!

The growing crass side of golf writing? Please, show me where to find that. Sorry, most golf writing these days isn't crass. It's just more boring than a 1950s school textbook, with magazine pieces as plain and indistinguishable from each other as two scoops of vanilla.
And this is a column (personal opinion piece) about how more men should appreciate high-end spas at golf resorts. Sorry if it offends you, but many men find the presence of beautiful women at an establishment to be a plus. Do you think it's coincidence that most spa receptionists are attractive? Do cart girl hiring trends need to be explained next?
Oh sorry are we not supposed to talk about any of this because it doesn't fit a PC agenda?
And newsflash: Most women (I'd put the figure at 97.5 percent) are not shocked or offended to find out that many men don't mind the presence of good-looking women at the places they frequent.
So yes, spa receptionists tend to be hot and it's as much a part of the vibe as the beer and the soothing treatments. Next time I'm writing about men embracing spas, you can sure it will be mentioned again too.
Oh, Ms. Jones and Wanda, you also may want to stay away from high-end, high-dollar-advertising, well thought of men's magazines like Esquire and GQ too. They tell you things like which New York restaurants have the hottest hostesses.
And then still win awards for their journalism.
We're not talking Maxim, where they'd give you strategies on how to score with that hot receptionist as well but Esquire and GQ, some of the best respected mags in the business.

As a woman in a receptionist position I am disgusted by your comments and appauled that travelgolf.com would even allow such an article to be published at this day and age.

Are you seriously that sexist - and don't know better than to actually POST such comments?
First of all, it's disgraceful making comments about how young and attractive the "counter babes" are. I assume you're over the age of 16 and your hormones have settled down by now? And do you actually still use the term, "dudes"?
Secondly, research from the International Spa Association shows that 29% of Canadian spa goers are men. That's research - not PR hype. Do your homework.
And do NOT refer to a trained massage technician or therapist as a 'masseuse'. That implies a rather disreputable type of establishment, which I KNOW does not reflect the spa you went to.
Your article is an utter embarrassment.

Yo, Wanda, babe ..... Don't you think the International Spa Association has an interest in showing how much men REALLY LOVE spas? ("29 percent, everyone! 29 percent!") You're wrong - that's the very definition of PR hype.

| Beer and Spas... |

Honestly, how do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you write an article with crap like this, "Then, you roll into the spa and the good-looking, college-aged girl behind the counter - and one of the great underrated things in spa-dom is just how fine the counter babes usually are - asks how much you want to spend on a gift card." Then again, I suppose your just showing the growing crass side of golf that many of us do our best to avoid. This is one publication I plan to take off our golf vacation planning list
