Disc Golfers December 7, 2004, 9:39 am

by Jason Lane
This is he second email i've received from TravelGolf with the subject: "Throw disc golfers off the course" I think this is a prime example of golf's (and golfers') elitist and intolerant reputation. I play ball golf constantly, but also enjoy disc golf. Disc golf is a fun sport that rarely costs anything to play a course, and if it does cost anything, it is nowhere near the ridiculous price of 18 holes at your local country club. What gives you the right to say 'throw disc golfers off the course'? I hardly think any of us is good enough that someone throwing a frisbee within 30 yds of your green is going to affect your putt. When i tell people i golf, it's people like you who have given them this preconception of what a golfer is, and how they think.
Give Disc Golf a try, i am sure you will like it, and im sure you will be terrible at it, just like you were when you first picked up the sticks.
