Great piece on Tahoe golf and Charles Barkley except -
Why do writers always fall prey to the Pebble Beach comparison? The "experience" at Pebble Beach has nothing to do with price. No one plays at Pebble for any kind of perceived value.
You can just hear golfers before a big trip saying...
"Dad I want to play Pebble once in my life with you". "Sure son but we'll have a better experience at Edgewood".
I think not.
