| Stallion Mountain |

I hope Walters golf is paying you a lot for constantly endorsing their course.
The first article about Stallion Mountain was funny. Now its time to shut up.
You've already enticed thousands of golfers to go and see this dried up cowfield of a course just for laughs and when they get there I'll bet it looks pretty darn good and there is someone standing on the street offering them 2-for-1 green fees.
I must hand it to you though, it is a very innovative way to advertise a golf course. "This course is just so bad, the pictures don't do it justice, you have to see it with your own eyes"!

| Furyk, Caddies and . . . Walters Golf? |
July 5, 2005, 12:56 pm |
by Bill Taylor
Once again, when Chris Baldwin's smiling face popped up on page one I rolled my eyes, sure another rant against Walters Golf was just around the bend.
Chris did not disappoint. In a column wholly constructed to somehow work in a jab at Walter's Golf, Baldwin stretches so far he could have slammed dunked without leaving the floor.
A column about Furyk's caddie just so it could be pointed out that the caddie used to work for Tiger just to point out Tiger also fired Butch Harmon just to point out that Harmon endorsed Walters Golf?
Chris, have you no shame?
I will once again travel to Vegas next month, and I will once again play Piaute Golf Resort -- a wonderful place -- and I will once again get nowhere near Stallion Mountain. This is not because of Chris Baldwin. It is because I enjoy Piaute. Chris, I'm not an idiot who needs bashing over the head EVERY SINGLE WEEK.
The obvious personal-vendetta nature of your rage against Walter's Golf is so consuming that you are wearing me out. I just cannot read another one of your columns. Consider me a five-second browser of your publication. If something about . . . you know . . . golf, appears and instantly catches my eye, I'll check it out. Otherwise, Travel Golf is a click away from the ether.

This would have been a good one paragraph mention but overdone with a whole article.
I guess we have become numb about the erection drug advertisemants everywhere in our life. I would have though Chris would have gone after the backer that makes Cialis.
How about the Four Hour Erection Open? The Carter Company (Trojan Condoms)could sponsor the Long Drive Tour.

Your stories have sunk to an all time low. There must not be much to write about these days. I have opened your junkie newsletter for the last time.

| Jim Furyk |

by Larry Lambrecht
As far as the Furyk/Cowan relationship goes, you should not make a tabloid story out of it. They have a very good professional relationship, Jim calls his caddie Michael or Mike and they are far from competiing with the Woods on a grudge match.
That era has passed and Jim Furyk would not stand for any sort of attitude in this regard, he is the class act of the tour. Congratulations to Jimmy and Mike on a job well done, that's the story. Jim's recovery from an injury and back in the winner's zone is remarkable.

I think an anti-Tiger mentality dominates your stories. Tiger is golf. No one cares about a caddie named Fluff. Write a real story.

Maureen:
You're wrong. Not everyone wants to hear about Tiger all the time.

I enjoyed your column. I agree wth you on one thing. Steve Williams is a thug. I can't stand him. I can tell you one thing. He would never have taken a camera away from me. I would have 9 ironed him right beside his head. He thinks just because he's Tiger's caddy, that he is excused from the law. I haven't respected Tiger since he didn't repremand Williams fro those camera actions. Phooey with Steve Williams. He's a track goat.

MR. GENE WILSON--
I DON'T KNOW YOU BUT I LOVE YOU. YOU TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH.
STEVE WILLIAMS THE NUMBER ONE THUG IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
I AM SICK OF HEARING ABOUT TIGER WOODS AND EVRY DAM COMMERCIAL AND AND EVERY COMMENTATOR BOWING DOWN TO HIM. GET OVER IT.
I AM SO HAPPY FLUFF HAD THE OPORTUNITY TO PAY BACK A LITTLE. WOODS CAN POUND THE DRIVER ALL HE WANTS BUT DISTANCE DOES NOT WIN--A SWEET GAME LIKE JIM F. HAD IS WHAT IT'S ABOUT.
WOOD IS NOT A CHAMPION--HE IS A SORE HEAD. JIMMY AND FLUFF ARE TRUE CHAMPIONS.
BY THE WAY--IF ANYONE CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU.
